Soccer Shots Families and Friends, Your safety remains our number one priority and our team has made adjustments to our expert-approved curriculum and operating procedures accordingly. We know how important it is to ensure children have the opportunity to stay active and learn in a safe environment, and we remain committed to providing your family with a safe space to play and learn on Soccer Island. Additionally, all of our coaches have completed a mandatory health and safety course and are well-trained to abide by local health guidelines related to Covid-19. We are confident in the procedures we've implemented with the help of state and local health departments to keep your family safe while participating in our program. HEALTH & SAFETY ON SOCCER ISLANDReview the adjustments our coaches will be making during your scheduled season and stay informed on our modified safety procedures related to Covid-19. As always, our focus is providing your family with a quality, educational, and fun soccer experience!
During sessions our coaches will:
Avoid high-fives, fist bumps and unnecessary physical contact Wear a face covering if our state and/or local jurisdiction requires or recommends doing so Use rings, spots or orange cones as “home base” to keep children spread out when possible Request that equipment be cleaned up and put away only by the coach Continue to remind children the importance of keeping safe distances when practicing skills Avoid the use of pinnies Use a modified Soccer Shots cheer at the end of the session Additionally, coaches will be sanitizing all equipment before and after each session and monitoring their temperatures daily. We will do our best to use smaller group sizes and/or larger field setups to allow for the distancing of participants and observers.
COVID-19 POLICYThis policy is being implemented to operate our Soccer Shots program safely, with the help of experts in the field of health and medicine, and in accordance with local health guidelines. This policy is subject to change as new information and recommendations become available. If local guidelines change, we will update this policy accordingly.
Mask Requirements: Parents are required to wear a mask or face-covering at all times while physically on Soccer Island. Parents are also required to wear a mask or face-covering while attending our program if they are unable to maintain a minimum 6-feet of distance between themselves and the nearest person from outside of their household. Children are required to wear a mask or face-covering while attending our indoor programs, in accordance with the most recent Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines regarding universal face-coverings here! Children are required to wear a mask or face-covering while attending our outdoor programs, in accordance with the most recent Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines regarding universal face-coverings here! Some locations may require a mask or face-covering to be worn by some or all participants. In these instances, specific masking policies will be adhered to by Soccer Shots in agreement with their Partners. Parents will be notified regarding these location-specific guidelines in their Welcome Letter prior to the start of their season.
Spectator Limits: We are requesting that families adhere to a two spectator limit per family in an effort to respect local crowding recommendations, operate within capacity limits agreed upon with our local partners, and reduce the overall foot-traffic at our programs. Some locations may limit spectators in attendance to one family member per child or other family member-to-child ratios. In these instances, specific spectator policies will be adhered to by Soccer Shots in agreement with their Partners. Parents will be notified regarding these location-specific guidelines in their Welcome Letter prior to the start of their season.
Arrival / Dismissal: We are requesting that families remain in their vehicles and approach Soccer Island as close to their scheduled start-time as possible in order to provide our coaches with ample time to disinfect their equipment and limit contact among participants in-between sessions. We are requesting that families leave Soccer Island at the conclusion of their scheduled end-time in a timely manner in order to limit contact among participants in-between sessions.
Symptom Monitoring: We are requesting that families do not attend Soccer Shots if any member of their household is experiencing symptoms associated with Covid-19, especially a fever of 100.4°F or more in accordance with local health guidelines. We are requesting that families do not attend Soccer Shots if any member of their household has tested-positive for Covid-19 and has not yet been cleared to return to the program by a contact tracer and/or health care provider.
Contact Tracing: If a member of your household has tested-positive for Covid-19, we are recommending that you reach out to the Pennsylvania Department of Health for guidance. Call 1-877-PA-HEALTH (1-877-724-3258).Quarantine Protocol: If your child has tested-positive for Covid-19, they must self-quarantine for a minimum of 10-days after their positive test result before returning to Soccer Island. This is in accordance with the most recent CDC recommendation titled "Isolate If You Are Sick", which you can read here! If your child has had close contact with someone Covid-19-positive, they must self-quarantine for a minimum of 10-days after the initial contact before returning to Soccer Island. *If your child tests-negative for Covid-19 (provided the test was taken at least 5-days after initial contact), they may return to Soccer Island as early as 7-days after the initial contact. This is in accordance with the most recent CDC recommendation titled "When to Quarantine", which you can read here!DISCLAIMERSPolicies and disclaimers for the upcoming season require a signature at the time of checkout. Refunds/Credits (Partial or Full) will not be issued for any school, site, or field closure due to natural disaster, government emergency, health crisis, non-essential business closure, youth sports closure, or other fortuitous events. All efforts will be made to provide virtual sessions to replace canceled on-field sessions.We will continue to monitor all recommendations and requirements related to Covid-19 and update this policy accordingly in order to operate within the guidelines set forth by our local health department and trusted partners.
